Cancel your plan

Cancelling happens in the application, on the web, in the medium you bought in. There is no offer, no interview and no second confirmation. What this page states is the shape that flow is held to.

3 clicks or fewer, from your account page

01

Open your account page

One click from the header once you are signed in. Nothing asks you why you are there.

02

Select Cancel plan

It is on the account index and on the billing screen, at the same weight as every other control. There is no offer between you and it.

03

Confirm once

One confirmation, in the application. No second screen, no discount, no pause option ticked for you, and nothing asking you to reconsider.

How do I cancel?

You cancel Tingvar yourself on the web in three clicks or fewer from your account settings, with no retention interstitial and nobody to talk to first. The control is at the account cancel page and it is linked from account settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and your transcripts stay exportable until you delete them. Deleting your account cancels the subscription at the same time, and the account page says so before you confirm rather than after.

What this page does not do

Six things are missing from the flow above, and every one of them was found in a competitor while this site was being researched. They are listed because a commitment nobody can check is a claim.

  • A discount offered at the moment you try to leave.
  • A pause option chosen for you, which you then have to notice and untick.
  • A decline control worded to make you feel foolish for using it.
  • A second confirmation screen after the first one.
  • A support conversation, a phone number or a form that goes to a person before the cancellation is accepted.
  • A different medium from the one you bought in.

The control that keeps the plan is worded plainly, sits beside the one that ends it and is the same size. Neither is behind the other.
