Tingvar on Windows
There is no Windows application to download and none is planned. The room opens in the browser that is already on the machine, and this page says what that means for a long session at a desk.

That is the site's one demonstration, drawn here rather than made again for this channel. The lanes are the four persona voices, and the amplitude in each one is measured from that persona's own voice file. The third lane stops mid word where the human lane starts, which is the interruption this product is for. The arrangement of turns is composed, and none of it is a recording of a session. The words behind it are written out in full, with the timecodes, one link away.

The two pictures a store listing shows before you install. A design render is acceptable on our own site when it is labelled. It is not acceptable in a store listing, where it is a policy breach in most stores, so these wait on the real application either way.

There is no screenshot on this page. There is no application to photograph, and a design render presented as one is the first thing we would be asking you not to trust us about. Both figures above sit on the evidence page with the method and the sample size.
Why the browser is the Windows surface
A session is 45 minutes of talking, and the artefact it produces is a long attributed transcript. Both are desk work, and a Windows machine is usually a desk. Neither is a reason to install anything. A room is a voice call and a transcript, and the browser on the machine opens both.
So the browser is the Windows surface, and it is the surface by decision rather than by delay. An installed application on a managed laptop is a conversation with whoever manages that laptop, and a page that sent you to ask for one would be asking you to pay that cost for capabilities we have not built and have not committed to.
macOS and Linux are the same answer. Neither has an application, neither is planned, and the browser runs on both today, which is why the guessable addresses for them resolve to the browser page rather than to a page that says nothing.
What it would do here
| Capability | Browser | Windows |
|---|---|---|
| Anything Tingvar does on Windows that it does not do in a browser | Everything Tingvar does, it does here | Nothing. No Windows application exists |
Read about the browser surface
One row, because the comparison has one honest answer. There is no Windows application, so there is nothing this product does on Windows that it does not do in the browser on the same machine. Any longer table here would be a list of capabilities nobody has built.
What you need
| Requirement | What it means |
|---|---|
| A Chromium browser | Chrome, Edge or any other Chromium browser. The room is a web page, so the browser already on the machine is the client, and there is nothing to install beside it. |
| The browser version | NOT MEASURED. The minimum version is the one that runs getUserMedia, RTCPeerConnection and StereoPannerNode in a live room, and nobody has run that test on a matrix yet. |
| Microphone permission | The microphone is required because interrupting a persona mid sentence is the product, and your audio is processed while the room is live and never kept as a recording. |
| Headphones | A recommendation and not a requirement. Desk speakers feeding a desk microphone is the feedback problem the other surfaces have, on louder hardware, and headphones end it. |
| Stereo output | Each persona holds a fixed position in the stereo field, which is how you tell who is speaking. The mono fallback stacks the voices in one place and the room still runs. |
| A connection that holds a call | A live room runs over WebRTC, so it is a voice call. A weak connection costs you audio quality first, and a wired desk connection is steadier for a long session. |
| Permission from whoever manages the machine | Not needed, because nothing is installed. A managed laptop that forbids new software still opens a web page, and that is all this surface asks of it. |
Questions to answer before you install
Will it run on a managed laptop, behind a VPN or a proxy?
NOT MEASURED. A room is a WebRTC call, and no session has been run from behind an enterprise egress policy with outbound UDP blocked to record whether the TURN over TCP fallback holds. Until that test is run we will not claim either way. Whether your machine allows it is a question for whoever manages it.
Will it start itself when I turn the machine on, or sit in the system tray?
No, because there is nothing to start. The room is a web page you open when you want it, so there is no tray icon and nothing that adds itself to startup. No desktop application exists to do otherwise, and none is planned, so nothing here launches itself.
Will it send me notifications?
No. Nothing is installed, so there is nothing on the machine to raise one. There is also nothing a room needs to tell you about while you are not in it, so none is planned, and anything that changed that would be asked for rather than assumed.
What happens if the machine sleeps, or I change headset mid session?
Both are the browser's business, since nothing is installed to manage them. Sleep drops the call the way it drops any voice call in a tab, and the page has to be opened again. A headset swapped mid session is not picked up, because the browser holds the device it was given when the room opened.
What does it install on my machine?
Nothing. There is no package, no installer and no Microsoft Store listing, so there is nothing to add to the machine and nothing to remove afterwards. The room is a web page, and what it leaves behind is whatever your browser keeps for any site you sign in to.
Where does the recording go?
It is answered in full in the recording note directly under these questions, in the same words the FAQ uses: what happens to the session audio, what persists instead, how long it is kept, and where it is stated who at Tingvar can read it.
Where the recording goes
Tingvar does not store your session audio: it is processed while the room is live and no recording of it is kept. What persists is the transcript, the text of what you said and what each persona said, attributed line by line. Only the account that ran the session can read that transcript, and nobody at Tingvar reads one without your written request on a support case. You can delete any session yourself, and deletions are purged from backups within 30 days. The retention schedule is published at tingvar.com/trust/your-data.
Nobody else joins a Tingvar room: the participants are you and the AI personas, and the audio is not stored for anyone to play back later. The transcript is the part that persists, and it reaches our model vendor as part of the personas' context. Every vendor that touches customer data is named on the sub-processors page, including the model vendor. Who at Tingvar can read a transcript, and in what circumstances, is stated at tingvar.com/trust/your-data.
Where a subscription is cancelled
A subscription is bought on the website and cancelled on the website. Cancelling takes 3 clicks or fewer at /account/cancel. No retention screen, no discount offer and no reason form appear on the way. Microsoft never takes a payment for Tingvar and never holds a cancellation.
The Pitch-Ready guarantee is 5 minutes inside your first session, no reason required, and you do it yourself rather than by asking. The refund terms carry it in full, with what happens when a room drops part way through.
Where to go from here

Nobody has used this yet
Zero real human sessions have taken place. Every measured turn to date used pre-rendered audio clips rather than a live human. What is built and verified is the decision layer: the turn-taking policy, the bid scoring and the configuration guards, with 619 automated tests passing and 81.78 % combined coverage. Everything there says the system works. Nothing there says anyone wants it, and being first is a real risk you are taking.
